Storm Lake is a colorful, unique small city with big diversity and many opportunities to share God’s love in practical ways! Here, around 30 languages are spoken in a population of about 12,000 people. CFCI is working holistically in Storm Lake to meet the needs of the people groups, as well as equip and empower the local Church to greater effectiveness. Through a variety of ministries, missionaries in Storm Lake are focused on building relationships and promoting hope!

Cultural Education Coordinator Description
CFCI – Storm Lake is seeking a full-time person or couple to minister cross-culturally and provide cultural education through The Bridge of Storm Lake. This person must share the vision to “connect, support and empower in the name of Jesus.”
Responsibilities include:
•recruiting and managing small mission teams to serve the various ethnic communities within Storm Lake
•networking with local churches and Christian groups
•facilitating cross-cultural education in Storm Lake
•facilitating the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Storm Lake
•equipping and training mission workers to be sent out of Storm Lake to other cities
This position is self-funded and part of a supportive missionary team.
Youth Ministry Coordinator Description
CFCI – Storm Lake is seeking a full-time person or couple to minister cross-culturally and provide leadership in the area of Youth ministry through The Bridge of Storm Lake. This person must share the vision to “connect, support and empower in the name of Jesus.”
Responsibilities:
•work with neighborhood centers to coordinate volunteers and activities for youth
•network and communicate with churches to effectively reach youth for Christ, integrate youth into their churches and encourage/support them in ministry
•support family life
This person would need to be mindful of the key role of parents while understanding and respecting the various cultures. This position is self-funded and is part of a supportive missionary team.
HopeRISE Coordinator Description
CFCI-Storm Lake is seeking a full-time person or couple to minister cross-culturally and provide leadership in the area of HopeRISE, an adult mentoring and discipleship ministry to immigrants and refugees through The Bridge of Storm Lake. This person must share the vision to “connect, support and empower in the name of Jesus.”
Responsibilities:
•develop and implement strategies for effective ministry to a wide variety of adults promoting hope
•develop individual life plan (education, housing, discipling, etc.) for each person enrolled
•supervise volunteers working in HopeRISE
•network and communicate with churches to effectively reach people for Christ, integrate them into their churches and encourage/support them in ministry
•work alongside the English classes’ coordinator to meet needs of enrolees
•work effectively with local organizations (job services, housing, etc.)
This position requires a great deal of sensitivity to the Spirit’s leading first and to the needs of the people. The position is self-funded and is part of a team of a supportive missionary team.
