Located just north of Costa Rica and south of Honduras, Nicaragua has a culture of its own. Sports enthusiasts will find that baseball is much more popular here than soccer. Over the past 50 years Nicaragua has experienced devastating natural disasters and political upheavals.
Even though there have been social changes and advances, over half of the population lives on less than $2 a day. The GDP per capita is a little more than $1,000. Much of the body of Christ here has lost their sense of worth and most pastors have little to no training. CFCI-Nicaragua's vision is to train and equip leaders in the body of Christ whether they be in churches, the medical field or schools.
